This centuries-old European ceremony performed to ensure robust vines and savory grapes, followed by the Blessing of the New Vintage Wines presented by Grapevine wineries.
This tradition made its way to the “New World” and specifically to Texas in 1598, in the area known today as El Paso, where Spanish missionaries planted vineyards for ceremonial wines and blessed them. The blessing asks for God’s grace upon the vines and fruit it produces and for God to keep the workers of the vineyard safe and healthy as they tend the vines. The
blessing that was performed over 400 years ago is almost exactly what you will experience today.
